Why Recycle ?
Do you know.....
Recyling saves energy and natural resources, creates jobs and saves landfill space, and helps to preserve the quality of our environment. Recycling also reduces the amount of garbage you throw away. Each year Mississippians throw away enough garbage to cover 600 football fields 6 feet deep in compacted garbage.
Environmental Education teaches our students the value of recycling, protecting, and conserving the environment for our future generations.

Students, teachers, administrators, and environmental activists have
found ways to integrate knowledge and awareness of Earth's fragility into classwork and community service, carefully blending concern with action to help kids feel engaged and hopeful. We try to do the same with this Go Green Database, a directory that can be searched by topic, grade level, cost, or location -- and supplemented with your contributions and comments. |
