Recommended State Standards for
Student Membership

1. The student should have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
2. The student should have a GPA of 3.5 or higher in nonacademic classes.
3. The student should display leadership, responsibility, good attendance, and good character.
4. The student should be an active member of his/her vocational student organization.
5. The student’s occupational instructor should nominate the student for membership.
6. The student should be approved by the local administrator.
7. A selection committee of a least three people should approve all students for membership.
