Subject Area Alternative Assessment (SAAA)

The Subject Area Alternative Assessment (SAAA) process is available for students (1) with an Individualized Education Plan, or (2) through the Subject Area Testing Program Appeals Process (Code 7610) who may need an assessment in Algebra I, Biology I, English II, and U.S. History in order to meet the requirements for a standard High School diploma.  For a student with an IEP, the district can request an alternative assessment of performance if the IEP committee has determined that participation in the SAAA process is an appropriate method of assessment for the student.
