Mississippi Alternate Assessment of Extended Curriculum Frameworks (MAAECF)
The Mississippi Alternate Assessment of Extended Curriculum Frameworks (MAAECF) for students with significant cognitive disabilities (SCD) is part of the Mississippi Statewide Assessment System. It is designed to assess the educational performance of students with disabilities who cannot participate in the general education curriculum, even with accommodations. Students in grades 3–8 and 12 who meet the state’s three SCD criteria are eligible to participate in the MAAECF.
Publications include the Teacher Resource Guide, MECF Clarification Guides, and the Assessment View System Guide.
Planning Resources include the Best Practice Timeline, Instructional Planning Tool, Historical Objective Tracking Form, Planning Resource Guides.
Portfolio Forms include Ethics in Data Collection, Progress Determination, Media Permission Forms, and all evidence cover sheets.
Other required forms include the Student Correction Form, Transfer Form, and all other forms that require submission by the Special Education Director and/or District Test Coordinator.
