Welcome to the Mississippi Department of
Education’s Web page dedicated to information on the American
Recovery and Reinvestment Act, also commonly referred to as
the ARRA or the stimulus package. ARRA – a federal bill that
was signed into law on February 17, 2009 – provides new,
one-time funding through three main streams: the State Fiscal
Stabilization Fund, Title I Programs and Programs under the
Individuals with Disabilities Act of 1965.
The information on this site is designed to
help education officials, school leaders, and others who may
have questions about ARRA, and how leaders plan to utilize
those funds in Mississippi. This site will be updated as the
Mississippi Department of Education receives more
information.
