SLDS Grants
Better decisions require better information. That's the idea behind SLDS, the Statewide Longitudinal Data Systems (SLDS) Grant Program. The SLDS model is designed to help states, districts, schools, educators, and other stakeholders make data-informed decisions to improve student learning and outcomes; as well as to facilitate research to increase student achievement and close achievement gaps.
In Mississippi, the SLDS Grant Program helps our state use education data more effectively, through grant funding as well as a growing range of services and resources. It has helped advance and expand Mississippi's K12 and P-20W (early learning through the workforce) longitudinal data systems.
