APA Process

On May 17, 2013, the State Board of Education (SBE) approved to begin the Administrative Procedures Act process to establish State Board Policy 5151 – Consolidation of School Districts.  All written comments must be received by 5:00 pm on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 and should be addressed to:

On April 19, 2013, the State Board of Education (SBE) granted approval to begin the Administrative Procedures Act (APA) process to revise the Early Learning Standards for Classrooms Serving Three-Year-Old Children.  The proposed revisions may be viewed on the MDE website.  Comments should be sent to Robin Lemonis at the Mississippi Department of Education, Office of Curriculum and Instruction, P.O. Box 771, Jackson, MS, 39205, OR via email to earlychildhood@mde.k12.ms.us, OR by fax to 601.359.2040 no later than 5:00 p.m. on June 3.  Questions may be directed to the Office of Curriculum and Instruction at 601.359.2586.
