Academic/Vocational Teacher and Counselor Training

Each summer Tech Prep training is provided for all newly hired teachers, as well as those not previously trained, in all Tech Prep sites.  Sessions are provided for teachers in English I-IV, Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Geometry, Biology I/II, and Chemistry.  Sessions are also provided for occupational-vocational  (not Discovery, see below) and Family and Consumer Science  teachers.  Costs associated with training will be at the local district's expense.

A registration form is required for all training sessions.  (Please see Tech Prep Calendar for dates, times, locations, contact  information and a printable registration form.)

Continuing Education Units (CEUs) will be awarded upon completion of the training.

Other professional development opportunities are provided by the Tech Prep Coordinator in each consortium.  Calendars are distributed by the Coordinator to each school district as well as the dates, times and locations posted on the Tech Prep Calendar.
