Contracts
01. Full-Line Distributors. 08/01/05 – 06/30/06. No MDE funds involved. Competitive Bid Process (Office of Healthy Schools – Regina Ginn/Gary May)
The following contracts will provide service and delivery of food, supplies and USDA Commodities to local organizations in the State Purchasing Program. Payment will be made directly to the contractors by the local organizations purchasing these products. The Office of Child Nutrition will administer the contracts; no MDE funds will be expended for these services. The contractors provided the lowest bid. The owner and/or personnel who will be working under these contracts are not former Department employees or related to any Department employee.

02. Approval of contracts for State Public School Building Fund (Regina Ginn/Robert Campbell)
The Office of Safe and Orderly Schools requests approval to submit an agreement that has been made and properly executed between the school district and contractor for capital improvements.
03. Approval of change orders for State Public School Building Fund (Regina Ginn/Robert Campbell)
The Office of Safe and Orderly Schools requests approval of change orders for construction projects. School districts are requested to submit any modifications to an approved contract.
04. Approval of final projects for State Public School Building Fund (Regina Ginn/Robert Campbell)
The Office of Safe and Orderly Schools requests approval of final projects for state public school building funds. School districts are requested to submit closing documents upon completion of construction projects.
05. Approval of school district facility site(s) for the location of the construction of capital improvements (Regina Ginn/Robert Campbell)
Madison County School District requests approval of a site for the construction of a new elementary/middle school (grades K through 8 with an enrollment of approximately 1,200 students) located on approximately 17 acres on Yandell Road in Gluckstadt, Mississippi.
Contract Renewal
06. Advance Food Company, Inc. No MDE funds involved. 07/01/05 – 09/30/05. Competitive Bid Process (Office of Healthy Schools – Regina Ginn/Gary May)
The contract renewal will continue service and delivery of USDA processed hamburger patties to local school districts. Payment wil be made by the local school districts purchasing this product. The Office of Child Nutrition will administer the contract; no MDE funds will be expended for this service. The owner and/or personnel who will be working under this contract are not former Department employees or related to any Department employee. This contract is being renewed beginning July 1, 2005. Advance Food Company, Inc. processing of USDA hamburger meat into patties. The original, multi-year (July 1, 2001 – June 30, 2005) contract was approved in May 2001. The extension is for 90 days beginning July 1, 2005 to September 30, 2005. This proposed extension is within the original terms of the contract issued in July 2001. The extension will allow the Office of Child Nutrition to delay the delivery of processed hamburger patties until the beginning of the new school year. Advance Food Company has agreed to hold the product in their warehouse until that time.
