Subject Area Testing Program (SATP)
The Algebra I and English II practice tests immediately below are aligned to the 'old' curriculum and therefore are to be used for ONLY those students who were first-time test takers in Algebra I and English II PRIOR to 2007-2008.
The Algebra I and English II practice tests immediately below are based on the 2007 Mississippi Mathematics Framework - Revised and the 2006 Mississippi Language Arts Framework. Please note that the operational SATP English II Test has 85 items; the English II practice test has only 70 items. The operational SATP Algebra I Test has 65 items, as does the practice test.

| March 25, 2009 - The results of the alignment study conducted in spring 2008 by a panel of national experts led by Dr. Norman Webb provided directives that led to a need to change some of the DOK levels for the items in the English II Practice Test
#1. A new key has been posted; this key has the corrected DOK levels and also contains PLD categories, not noted on the previous answer key. Important for consideration is that decisions in assigning DOK are affected by text complexity and the four answer options; thus, two proficient items for the same objective may be assigned a different DOK level. |
