SATP English II Writing RETEST for the "Old" Curriculum

The SATP English II Writing RETEST for the "old" curriculum is being handled by the Office of Student Assessment. This assessment is for ONLY those students who were first-time test takers when this assessment was aligned to the "old" English II framework. Therefore, only students who participated in the English II Writing Assessment PRIOR to 2008-2009 and did not pass are eligible for the SATP English II Writing RETEST. Students will be asked to respond to one of two expository prompts.

Students who participated in the English II Writing Assessment beginning in 2008-2009 but did not pass as well as those who will participate in the future are taking the assessment administered under the Mississippi Writing Assessment Program (MWAP); this assessment is aligned to the "new" curriculum found in 2006 Mississippi Language Arts Framework, Revised. Students who did not pass the assessment in 2009 will participate in the MWAP retest opportunities. First-time test takers will participate in primary MWAP administrations.
