The Office of Textbooks is responsible for coordinating the Adoption, Distribution, Care and Use of Textbooks in the public and nonpublic schools in Mississippi. The surplus book program is also operated through the Textbook Office.

The 2011-2012 Textbook Adoption List has been approved by the Mississippi State Board of Education and can be downloaded. Click on the "New Titles" tool bar on the left side of the page.
The 2011-2012 Textbook Adoption Caravan is coming to a site near you from February 6-17, 2012! The Textbook Adoption Caravan gives local school districts the opportunity to review textbooks and materials adopted by the State Board of Education in the areas of Reading K-12, Literature K-12, and Social Studies: World Geography and Citizenship (6th grade). Click on the Caravan tool bar, located on the left side of the page for registration information.

The new deadline for the MIRC to receive all of the registration and book request information for the 2012-2013 school year is

Click “Save Link As” in Netscape or "Save Target As" in Internet Explorer. Save the file to:
C:\Program Files\Oracle\Jinitiator 1.1.8.10\lib\security
Once it prompts: “The file already exists would you like to replace it” click yes.
