The Mississippi Department of Education (MDE) is seeking proposals from Mississippi Institutions of Higher Learning (IHL) for the administration of a Mathematics and Science Partnership (MSP) Program which is intended to increase the academic achievement of students by enhancing the content knowledge and teaching skills of classroom teachers. An IHL may submit only one proposal as the lead partner of an MSP project.
The Request for Proposals may be accessed by potential offerors at www.mde.k12.ms.us under the Public Notice section. Written questions should be submitted to email@example.com by the deadline of September 29, 2015.
Copies of all questions submitted and the responses will be posted to MDE’s website at www.mde.k12.ms.us under the Public Notices section and will be available to the general public by October 6, 2015.

The Mississippi Department of Education (MDE) through the Office of Safe and Orderly Schools announces the Mississippi Community Oriented Policing Services in Schools (MCOPS) Request for Applications is now available. The amount is up to $10,000 per school resource officer to go toward salaries only. The MDE will provide training for the grant year. The grant is for the deployment of a MDE certified SRO. Reserve police officers and school safety officers cannot be funded under this grant. All funds have to be expended no later than June 30, 2016. If you have questions, please contact J. The Mississippi Department of Education (MDE) through the Office of Special Education is soliciting competitive written proposals from qualified vendors to provide professional development according to the Orton-Gillingham for reading, writing, & spelling interventions. The Offeror must have the operating capacity to provide training to a large number of educators throughout the state.
