The Mississippi Department of Education (MDE) is seeking applications from districts with high-needs schools to participate in a Mathematics and Science Partnership (MSP) Program which is intended to increase the academic achievement of students by enhancing the content knowledge and teaching skills of classroom teachers. The Mississippi Department of Education through the Office of Compulsory School Attendance Enforcement is currently accepting applications for its Juvenile Detention Center Educational Supplemental Discretionary Grant. The purpose of this grant is to award discretionary funds to eligible Local Education Agencies (LEAs) to utilize supplemental services to aid in the ongoing education and instruction of youth serving in detention centers. These funds will be used solely to supplement and/or maintain academic performance of students in the detention centers until he/she is released and returns to school of origin. 2015-2016 Juvenile Detention Center Educational Supplemental Grant
