Procedures for Requesting Help:
You may contact the MDE Help Desk by e-mail at mdenetworksupport@mde.k12.ms.us or telephone at 601.359.2837. When calling the Help Desk, an operator will answer your call and obtain pertinent
information regarding your problem. This person will log your call and
assign your request to the appropriate support group.
Our goal is to provide a real person to answer your call, but
should you need to leave a message or send an e-mail, it is
essential that you include the following information in any
message:
- Name and phone number of person needing assistance
- Location, school district, etc of person needing assistance
- Detailed description of the problem (hardware/software) including
any error codes or messages
Once your Help Desk request is logged, you will receive a Help
Desk Ticket Number via e-mail or phone, depending on how we received
your request. Please keep this number for future reference if
needed.
At this point, your ticket will be assigned to the appropriate
support group. Tickets will be assigned based equally on order
received and urgency of the problem.
Should you need to place additional calls to the Help Desk
for the same problem, please refer to your original Help Desk
Ticket number.
Every effort is made by User Support Services staff to provide
a resolution to your problem in a timely manner. Thanks for
