Mississippi Board of Education to meet today

The Mississippi Board of Education will meet at 1 p.m. today for a special interim meeting to discuss matters involving Fiscal Year 2010 expenditures, Fiscal Year 2009-10 contracts with retired state employees, the Qualified School Construction Bond approval process and personnel matters.

Although the meeting shall commence as an open meeting, the Board anticipates the need to declare an executive session due to the subject matter of some of the agenda items. The meeting will be held in the Board Room at the Mississippi Department of Education in the Central High School Building in Jackson. The public is invited to attend.
